Do you ever get dressed and then realize there is a grease stain on your shirt? Ever have one of those days where you spill food down the front of you? I don’t know about you but both of these happen to me. If you are like me and this happens to you, there is an easy way to remove grease stains on your clothes….. and it involves one simple ingredient!

One Simple Ingredient to Remove Grease Stains

You can remove grease stains with a simple ingredient that you may already have sitting in your kitchen – Dawn dish soap.

Quick and Easy Process

Not only do you only need one ingredient but the process to remove grease stains from your clothes is quick and easy with 3 easy steps.

Step 1: Pour a small amount of the Dawn detergent to the stain and add some cold water.

Step 2: Scrub the Dawn detergent and water into the stain. You could use a brush but I just rub the shirt together between my fists. Rinse the soap off with cold water. (The soap doesn’t have to be completely rinsed off.)

Step 3: Launder as normal. You can launder immediately but it isn’t necessary. If I’m behind on laundry, there have been times where the shirt or article of clothing has sat a couple of days.

I have used this method to remove grease stains even after the clothing has been washed or if they have sat for a few days. If the stain is really set in, it may require a second treatment.

This method to remove grease stains from clothes has worked almost every single time for me. It has definitely saved me a lot of money from not having to buy new clothes!
